Aish Rai's Career Began in Modelling before taking off in Bollywood!
Whilst studying architecture in school Aishwarya Rai’s modelling career began to take off. When only in ninth grade Aish appeared in her first advertisment for pencil company Camlin’s. From the humble beginnings of part time advertising jobs Aishwarya Rai went on to advertise both Pepsi and CoCa Cola brands of drinks. Appearing in adverts for both of the opposing drinks brands was unheard of, apart from by another Bollywood star Aamir Khan. As well as finding time to appear in advertisments Aishwarya studied classic music and dance during her earlier years. Aish was in fact the Face of the CoCa Cola girl for the Southern Asia and Middle East areas.
As Aish’s modelling career progressed she began taking part in beauty pagents and other contests. During the year of 1994 Aishwarya came a close second in the Miss India contest as well as winning the esteemed title of Miss Photogenic due to her stunning look. But the highlight of 1994 for Rai Aishwarya must have been when she went on to come first in the Miss World Competition. As expected the prestigious award of Miss World really got the film role offers rolling in for the young beautiful Aish Rai.
As well as winning these various highly regarded awards for her modelling and beauty during her earlier years Aishwarya has received many over a hundred excellent awards since her early twenties. Aishwarya has been voted number 1 in the famous Hello magazines most attractive woman poll. The Hello magazine poll during ’03 saw Aishwarya snatch the most attractive title away from such beautiful actresses as Catherine Zeta Jones and Nicole Kidman. In the more recent years Aishwarya Rai has become the L’Oreal international representative as well as appearing on the cover of many high profile literary editions as Time Magazine and India’s Today magazine.
